You can pretty much cruise right up to the site by car and it’s a short walk to the campground from there—it’s a super accessible spot for tent campers.

Summer can get toasty, but there are plenty of swimming options on nearby Barren River Lake to cool you off. Spring weather is perfect and fall foliage is beautiful, so, really, any time that the park is open is a good time to go.
